Jill S. (Godfrey) Rister, 65, of Blytheville, AR. and formerly of Mendota passed away October 21, 2017 in Great River Medical Center, Blytheville.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, Mendota with Rev. Kent Svendsen officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m., in the church and from 10:30 a.m. until time of services in the church on Saturday.

Jill was born April 7, 1952 in Mendota to Robert and Vera (Ritter) Godfrey. She married Steve Rister May 31, 1980 in Reynolds Church.

Jill was a 1970 graduate of Mendota High School. She graduated Illinois State University in 1979 with a degree in education. She worked at Barr's Shoe Store and was a substitute teacher at Holy Cross School, Mendota and Allen Grade School, LaMoille. Her and her husband owned and operated South Main Liquor Store in Mendota from 1988-1996. She worked at Nucor-Yamato Steel Company in Arkansas as an accounts receivable clerk.

She is survived by her parents of Mendota; her husband of Blytheville, AR.; two brothers James (Jean) Godfrey of Katy, TX. and David (Cathy) Godfrey of Tucson, AZ.; sister Holly Full of Sublette; five nieces and nephews; one great nephew and several cousins.

She was preceded by her brother in law Don Full in 2006.
