Joann D. Brown, 89, of Mendota, passed away, Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Heritage Health Mendota.

There will be a private graveside service at Precinct Cemetery, Earlville.

Joann was born August 5, 1933 in Troy Grove to Otto and Florence (Engel) Budach.

Joann was a 1951 graduate of Mendota High School. She worked at Heritage Manor in Mendota for 15 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville. Joann loved to sew.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda (Terry Virgil) Brown of Mendota; sister Bernice (Ken) Klein of Battle Creek, Michigan; grandson Dustin Neighbor of Mendota and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and her granddaughter Danielle Bernard in 2022.
