John R. Austin, 63, of Mendota died November 21st in OSF St. Paul Hospital, Mendota. There will be no services. Burial will be private.
John was born November 10, 1952 in Mendota to Wilbert Donald and Norma (Abbott) Austin.
He was a 1971 graduate of Mendota High School. He served in the United States Army. He worked for Del Monte and was a house painter.
He is survived by his mother of of Dalzell; his significant other Louann Jones of Mendota; son Brian (Robin) Austin of Earlville; step daughter Donna Jones of Mendota; brother Ronald (Sue) Austin of Villa Park, Il.; and sister Deborah (Dave) Hill of Dalzell.
He was preceded in death by his father and step father Ben Fonderoli.
