John W. LeBeau, 74, of Ottawa, formerly of Mendota, died May 30, 2011, in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Cemetery with the Rev. Fredi Gomez-Torres officiating. There will be no visitation. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, provided the arrangements. Mr. LeBeau was born May 6, 1937, in Ottawa to John W. and Elizabeth LeBeau. He married Carmen Diaz on Aug. 24, 1957, in Ottawa. He was a laborer and supervisor at Libby Owens Ford in Naplate and also worked as a mechanic and was a handyman. He liked to fish and hunt. He is survived by one daughter, Beverly (Paul) Morin of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Jamie "C" Warrner of Ottawa and John P. Morin, currently serving in Iraq; and two great-grandchildren, Lilli and Ty Warrner both of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife in 2006. Memorials may be directed to the Diabetes Association.
