John Robeson, 68, of Mendota, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born January 24, 1958, in Mendota, the son of Reginald and Mary (Merkel) Robeson.

John started working for Meriden Street Trailer Sales in the early 1980's and eventually branched out on his own, starting John Robeson RV Repair. He loved fishing, camping, NASCAR, and playing pool. He enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, and having coffee with his buddies.

John is survived by his son, Josh (Jodi) Robeson of Paw Paw; a daughter, Natalie (Josh) Busche of LaSalle; five grandchildren, Devyn, Sereniti, and Zoe Robeson and Cayden and Ava Busche; a niece and a nephew; his fiancé, Kathi Barnard and her children, Traci (Kevin) Saylor and their three children, Rob (Michelle) Barnard and their two children, and Ryan (Trina) Barnard and their three children.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Quinlan and Edna Miller.
