John A. Supan, 93, of 507 Second Ave., Mendota died Dec. 21, 2008, in Mendota Lutheran Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Merritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mr. Supan was born April 11, 1915, in Standard to Joseph and Elizabeth (Novak) Supan. He married Carral Pennington on April 29, 1966, in Sycamore. He was in the sheep shearing business in Kinsman for 10 years and owned and operated J & C Siding in Paw Paw for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of Mendota; three daughters, Judy (Jim) Price of Manville, Casandra (Gilbert) Richard of New Iberia, La., and Jonnita (Keith) Vogel of Fairbury; four sons, James (Rita) Supan of Artmoore, Okla., Mike (Linda) Supan of Tonica, Terry Joe (Marcia) Supan of Rochester and Shawn (Heather) Supan of LaMoille; 25 grandchildren; 35 greatgrandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one brother and four sisters. Memorials may be directed to Mendota Lutheran Home.
