Jose Luis "El Mister" Gonzalez, 70, of Mendota, passed away November 11, 2021 at Bella Terra in LaGrange.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Deacon Hector Diaz officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in Mexico.

Jose was born May 27, 1951 in Mexico to Ignacio Gonzalez Sandoval and Sara Ravelo Ochoa.

He was the owner La Mexicana Grocery Store in Mendota.

He is survived by his son Jose Luis Gonzalez, Jr. of Aurora; brother Roberto (Amber) Gonzalez of Mendota and siblings M. Carmen (Naun) Canseco, Salvador (Teresa) Gonzalez, Teresa (Rodolfo) Limon, J. Manuel (Patricia) Gonzalez, M. Eulalia Gonzalez, Rosalia Gonzalez and Martin Gonzalez all of Mexico and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
