Joseph Peter Scholl, 82, of Peru died May 7, 2010 in Naples, Fla. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 28 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota followed by a 10:30 a.m. mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mendota. Visitation will be from 4–8 p.m. on Thursday, May 27 at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Shirley A. (Pilarski) Scholl; three children, Joseph (Lisa), David (Joan ) and Peggy (Mark) Fechner; seven grandchildren, Tricia (Jason) Szczytowski, Steven (Heather), Neil (Hannah), Matthew, Kaylyn (Christopher) Gedraitis, Jonathon, Annah and Maggie; and five great grandchildren.
