Private graveside services
will be in Dewey Cemetery,
Ophir Township. Funeral
arrangements were by Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota.
She was born Feb. 11,
1926, in Mendota to
Nicholas and Anna (Boisdorf)
Smith. She married
John Ashcraft, who died
Aug. 12, 1992.
She was a member of St.
John's Lutheran Church,
Mendota and was employed
by Hart Carter-HCC in
Mendota for 26 years before
retirement. She was a member
of Mendota Women of
the Moose.
She is survived by four
daughters; Barb (Max)
Davis of Junction City, Ore.,
Mary (Tony) Arredondo and
Joy (Ken) Ladson both of
Mendota and Carrie (John
Phillipe) Olsen of Columbus,
Mo.; nine grandchildren;

great-grandchildren; and her
sister, Louise (Pat) Sheridan
of Mendota.
She was preceded by her
husband, daughters Linda
Boyles and Mary Louise
Ashcraft in infancy, greatgrandson
Nick Davis and
one brother, Nick "Half
Pint" Smith.
