Joyce E. Schaefer, 55, of 604 Third Ave., Mendota died Feb. 2, 2010, in her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church, Mendota, with the Rev. Brian Wangler officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born April 3, 1954, in Mendota to Olaf and Iona (Clark) Noles. She married Jeff Schaefer on July 19, 1979, in Orlando, Fla. She worked at HCC Inc. as a forklift operator for 36 years. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Ottawa. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Jackie (Toby) Fitzgerald of Mendota and Jessie Schaefer of Mendota; two grandchildren; her mother, Iona Noles of Mendota; two brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her father, one granddaughter, and her maternal grandparents. Memorials may be directed to the family.
