B. Joyce Setchell, 91, formerly of Mendota, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Country Comfort in Princeton where she had resided for the last four years, with her three daughters at her side.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Mendota with Rev. Mary Bohall officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling arrangements.

Joyce was born April 10, 1933 in Mendota to James and Anita (Warren) Shannon. She married Robert L. Setchell on June 14, 1952 in Mendota. She graduated from Mendota High School in 1951. She farmed with her husband in the Dimmick and Sublette areas. Joyce was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Joyce is survived by her three daughters Deb (Mike) Loebach of LaSalle, Cheryl (Don) King of LaMoille and Leesa (Jim) Burke of Sublette; 10 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 2016, two sisters Helen Reppin and Baynie Mahar; two brothers Gerald Shannon and Patrick Shannon and an infant son Brian.
