Juan Cantu, 30, passed away in Peoria, Illinois on Friday, September 11, 2026. Juan was born on July 5, 1996 in Mission, Texas to Telesforo and Yesenia Guerra.

He was a loving and proud father of his son and family. Juan also enjoyed sports especially basketball and golf. When he wasnt spending time with family or playing sports, he loved to play video games.

Juan is survived by his parents: Telesforo and Yesenia Guerra; his girlfriend Alex; his son Azario Cantu; his two brothers Abel Guerra and Abrahm Guerra; his sister Alyna Guerra; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceed by his grandfather Leonel.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Tusday, September 15, 2026 at the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home, 800 Monroe St., Mendota. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 16th at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1010 Jefferson Street, Mendota with Deacon Hector Diaz officiating.
