Obituary
Judith E. Poisel, 81, of Mendota, passed away December 4, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family, after a difficult battle with kidney disease.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Mendota with Father Jeff Windy officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Judie was born November 24, 1940 in Mendota to Floyd and Thursa (Spaulding) Jones. She married James Poisel on June 20, 1959 at Holy Cross Church.
Judie was a 1959 graduate of Mendota High School. She was an EMT for Mendota Ambulance for 20 years and was recognized for serving on 1500 calls. She enjoyed bird watching, especially cardinals.
She is survived by her husband James of Mendota; four daughters, Kimberly Lewis of Mendota, Sandra (Lyle) Kreiser of Wisconsin, Connie (Joe) Crawford of Mendota and April Poisel of New York; eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Ronald Jones.
