Zinke, 87, of Mendota died Nov. 27, 2013,
in Heritage Health, Mendota.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday
in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with
the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial
will be at Restland Memorial Gardens.
Visitat-ion will be
4-7 p.m. Tuesday in the
funeral home.
She was born June
17, 1926, in Mendota to
George and Lucy (Hall)
Gesslein. She married
Walter Zinke on Jan. 22,
1945, in Dixon.
She was a member
of American Legion
Auxiliary and Women
of the Moose. She
played the organ and taught Sunday school
at Compton Methodist Church. She worked
in bindery at Wayside Press for 20 years.
She is survived by one son, Curtis
(Diane) Zinke of Ashton; five daughters,
Carole (Scott) Kempf of Denver, Colo.,
Virginia (Tony) Viren of Machesney
Park, Cynthia (Mike) Stielow of Mendota,
Rhonda (Zack) Gaddy of Denver and
Marcia Kordek of Hinckley; 12 grandchildren
and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband
in 2003; and her sister, Ruth Novak.

Methodist Church or Illinois Valley
Hospice.
