Karen C. Richards, 52, of LaSalle passed away January 16, 2018 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., in the Merritt Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Pilon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Karen was born September 8, 1965 in Ottawa.

She was a 1984 graduate of Mendota High School. She attended Joliet Catholic Academy and majored in industrial psychology and minored in marketing. She was a CNA and was general manager of the store, Off The Wall, in Peru Mall and was also district manager.

She is survived by her daughter Meghann (Dan Morgan) Richards of Mendota; her longtime companion Mike Bienemann and her grandson Triston Kenneth James Morgan.

She was preceded by her parents Kenneth and Marian (Glaser) Kerchner.
