Katherine L. Robinson, 48, of Mendota died Oct. 12, 2016, in her residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota with the Rev. Janet Lepp officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota.

Visitation is 1-4 p.m. Sunday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Katherine was born Sept. 15, 1968, in Mendota to Daniel and Linda (Johnson) Truckenbrod. She married Mark Robinson on May 14, 1988, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Compton.

She was a 1986 graduate of Paw Paw High School. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota. Some of her fondest memories were made while vacationing with family at Walt Disney World and Gatlinburg, Tenn.

She was employed by Wal-Mart for several years. She was a loving and caring woman who watched over the children of family members when needed. She left her legacy as a "champion to the underdog."

She is survived by her husband, Mark of Mendota; two sons, Brian Robinson of Chicago and Matthew Robinson of Spring Valley; one daughter, Jessica Robinson of Mendota; her mother, Linda Truckenbrod of Mendota; her father, Daniel Truckenbrod of Compton; three brothers, Jim (Donna) Truckenbrod, David Truckenbrod, and Craig (Jennifer) Truckenbrod, all of Mendota; two sisters, Kris (John) Baird and Jennifer Truckenbrod, both of Mendota; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
