Katherine E. Swanson, 93, of Ottawa, passed away April 2, 2021 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Ottawa.

Private graveside services will be held April 7, 2021 at 11:00 a. m. at Restland Cemetery, Mendota with Rev. Mary Bohall of First United Methodist Church, Mendota officiating. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling arrangements.

Katherine was born January 30, 1928 in Sublette to John and Josephine (Wittgan) Troupis. She married Harold K. Swanson on May 10, 1952 in Mendota. He preceded on March 2, 1997.

Katherine was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mendota. She graduated from Mendota High School in 1946. She worked at Wayside Press in Mendota for 12 years.

Survivors include one niece and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and a nephew.
