in University Hospital,
Madison, Wis.
A private family memorial
service will be at 7:30 p.m.
Friday in Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota, with the
Rev. Michael Morrell officiating.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m.
Friday at the funeral home.
She
was born
June 24,
1945, in
Mendota
to Donald
"Rusty"
and Betty
(Simpson)
Rogers.
She
married
Charlie
Gordon on Sept. 6, 1974, in
Mendota. She was a member
of First United Methodist
Church, Mendota.
She was a member of the
Mendota Moose Lodge and
Mendota Elks Club. She also
was a member and secretary
of several bowling leagues
and a member of Illinois
Valley Women 600 Club. She
was an avid bingo player and
enjoyed fishing in Wisconsin
and Minnesota.
She was a part owner of
Bob & Jerry's Shell gas station
and had worked in the
parts department at Smysers
Auto Parts and Schimmer Inc.
She also worked as a secretary
at Skutta's Optometry
and worked at Pohl's Office
Supply and Mendota Well &
Drilling.
She is survived by one
daughter, Darla (John Harris)
Kleckner of Mendota; one
son, Tim (Belinda) Lewis of
Mendota; six grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; her
mother, Betty Rogers of
Mendota; one brother, Dean
Rogers of Mendota; and her
cat, Buttons.
She was preceded in death
by her father in 1992 and her
brother, Gary in 2010.
