Kathleen Crisman, 88, of Mendota died Aug. 28, 2011, in Mendota Lutheran Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church , Mendota , with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, LaMoille. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Arrangements were provided by Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born Nov. 20, 1922, in Mora, Minn., to Edwin and Myrta (Mayne) Larson. She married Eldon Crisman on June 28, 1944. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mendota, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was the legal secretary for Claus Law Office in Mendota until her retirement in 1997. She was a member of Tri- County Legal Secretaries, Business and Professional Women and Mendota Women's Club and was a driver for the Meals on Wheels program for many years. She was a graduate of Buda High School. Survivors are one son, William (Barbara) Crisman of Lisle; two grandsons, Todd Crisman and Tim Crisman; three great-granddaughters, Rebecca Nicole Crisman, Emma Kathleen Crisman and Ella Grace Crisman; three brothers, James (Mary) Moore of Buda, Merle (Jeanne) Moore of Neponset and Harry (Beverly) Moore of Kewanee; three sisters, Doris (Willard) Elmore of Dover, Edwina (Gary) Christensen of Bloomington and Betty (Dave) White of Kewanee; one sister-in-law, Virginia Moore of Sheffield; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, one daughter, Bonnie Crisman, two brothers, Elmer Larson and Gilbert Larson, and her stepmother, Esther Larson. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church or to the donor's choice.
