Kay L. Kromm, 68 of Mendota died September 30, 2017 in St. Anne Center, Rockford.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Compton with Rev. Jeff Schlesinger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., to time of services on Tuesday in the church. The Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling the arrangements.

Kay was born July 28, 1949 in Mendota to Delbert and Helen (Schlesinger) Kromm.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Compton. She was a 1967 graduate of Amboy High School and a 1971 graduate of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. She was employed as a purchasing agent by Sundstrand Corp. in Rockford before her retirement. She enjoyed sporting events, playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by one brother, Kim (Cathy) Kromm of Amboy; 2 nieces and 5 great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents.
