Kay Arlene Stuepfert, 78, of LeRoy, IL and a former LaMoille resident, left to be meet her Lord on September 14, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday in Zion Ev. Lutheran Church of Clarion with Pastor Kevin Weeks and Pastor L. Timothy Doty officiating. Burial will take place in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4:30 p.m., Sunday in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Kay was born May 7, 1938 in Blue Island, IL to Allan and Catherine (Erffmeyer) Brueggemann. She was an active member of Clarion Lutheran Church. She was Special Needs Bus Driver for LaMoille Consolidated School District and retired as a receptionist from Huntsman Chemical. Kay loved to spend time with her family and friends and enjoyed making quilts for her church and family.
Kay was loved by many and will be dearly missed. She married David Grissell Stuepfert on April 14, 1959. They were married for 26 years and have six children who survive her; Cynthia (Jeffry) Rolfs, Julie (Ed) Bauerle and Timothy Stuepfert all of Bloomington, Christine (Darrin) Rabe of Princeton, Kevin Stuepfert and Daniel (Allison) Stuepfert of LeRoy,, IL ; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy (Amy) Brueggemann of Matteson and one sister, Bette Ruth (Bob) Beintum of New Lenox. She was preceded by her parents.
Memorials may be given to Clarion Lutheran Church or the American Diabetes Association.
