Keith A. Borchelt, 72, of Mendota died March 16, 2017 at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Monday at Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Jerry Graham officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Keith was born Nov. 18, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio to Warren and Wilma (Gutzler) Borchelt.

He married Carol Reeve May 27, 1966 in Morris.

He owned and operated Pence's Floor Covering in Aurora for several years. He served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, of Mendota; his son, Sean (Jodie) Borchelt of Mendota; his daughter, Tricia (Matt) Guelde of Mendota; sister, Kris (Bob) Reedy of Aurora; six grandchildren, Gage, Elijah, Ethan, Olivia, Emma and Parker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
