Keith E. Jackson, 76, of Mendota passed away September 30, 2016 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be Tuesday at 11:00a.m., in the First United Methodist Church, Mendota with Rev. Kent Svendsen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the church. Burial will be private at a later date. Merritt Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Keith was born February 11, 1940 in Mendota to Walter and Bernice (Estes) Jackson. He married Shirley Opsal June 11, 1961.

Keith was a 1958 graduate of Mendota High School. He served two years in the United States Army. He retired from Consolidated Frieghtways in 1998.
He was a former member of the Mendota Moose Lodge and Mendota Elks Lodge and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife loving wife Shirley of Mendota; his children Sherry (finace Gary Gavin) Lucchesi of Yorkville; Doug (Nancy) Jackson of Mendota and Scott (Kathy) Jackson of Ottawa; 11 grandchildren Justin (Rebecca) Jackson of Savannah, GA., Nick (Alyssa) Jackson of O'Fallon, MO., Parker Jackson of Princeton, Amber (Cole) Whithrow of Springfield, Jon Wasson of Mendota, Rachel (Neil) Hummert of Chicago, Jessica Allen of Mendota, Samantha Huhnke, Cindy Huhnke, Matt Huhnke and Emily Merrick; 5 great grandchildren; his sister Nancy (Steve) Mueller of Mendota and was a favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son in law Tom Lucchesi.
