Kenneth J. Becker, 69, of Mendota died March 4, 2016, in his residence.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Peterstown, with the Rev. Joel Phelps officiating. Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery with military rites by VFW Post 4079.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Kenneth was born Aug. 28, 1946, in Mendota to John and Matilda (Happ) Becker. He married Patricia A. Borelli on June 17, 1967, in Mendota.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church. He was employed for 30 years by AT&T in Chicago and for eight years by Tellabs in Naperville before his retirement.

He served as a Specialist 5 communications officer with the U.S. Army. He was a 1964 graduate of Mendota High School.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Melissa S. (Bruce) Winn of Mendota; one son, Jeffery A. (Alice) Becker of Earlville; five grandchildren, Joshua A. Becker, Amanda M. Winn and Tyler A. Becker, all of Mendota, Heather M. Becker of Paw Paw and Maci E. Winn of Mendota; one sister, Vera (Ken) Stauth of Arizona; six brothers-in-law, Jim (Karn), Don (Kathy), Mark (Robin), Rick (Connie), Garry (Rita) and Larry (Kerri) Borelli; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Janet Edwards and Dolores Janka; and one brother, Clifford.
