Kenneth L. Kreiser, 94, of Mendota passed away peacefully April 14, 2016, in Mendota Lutheran Home.
A visitation to celebrate Ken's life will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday in St. John's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, Mendota. Private family graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Restland Cemetery, Mendota, with the Rev. Kent Svendsen officiating.
Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling the arrangements.
Ken was born May 25, 1921, in Troy Grove Township to Ray and Pearl (Crane) Kreiser. He married Gladys Hitchins, also of Mendota, on March 25, 1944, in Mendota.
Ken was a lifelong farmer in the Troy Grove and Triumph area. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota, a life member of Mendota Golf Club, a life member of Mendota Elks Lodge 1212, and a member of Mendota Moose Lodge. He was a 1940 graduate of Mendota High School.
He is survived by a son, Robert (Cynthia) Kreiser; three daughters, Connie (Dennis) Pohl, Judy (Greg) Forney and Cindy (Bill) Landers; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his wife on Jan. 10, 1993; two brothers, Howard and Harold Kreiser; and one sister, Eileen King.
Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church or Horizon House in Peru.
