Kimberly A. Parker, 48, of La Salle died Feb. 13, 2011, in Mendota Community Hospital. There will be no services. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born Aug. 23, 1962, in DeKalb to Edwin and Dorothy (Elkins) Hinkston. She married Jerry Parker on Jan. 19, 1983, in Mendota. She was employed by Wal- Mart in Ottawa. She is survived by her husband; her mother, Dorothy Fessler of Clinton; five brothers, Don (Shauna) Hinkston of Mesa, Ariz., Bill Hinkston of Austin, Texas, Peter (Sandy) Hinkston of Mendota, Mike (Donna) Hinkston of La Salle and Tracy (Sandy) Hinkston of Dayton; and three sisters, Pat Abell of Austin, Texas, Mary (Ike) Vancel of Plano and Becky Gulley of Mendota. She was preceded in death by her father. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
