Krystal Leah Hall, 65, of Mendota died March 17, 2017 at her residence. The Mass for her will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday in Holy Cross Church, Mendota with the Rev. Joel Phelps officiating. There will be no visitation. The Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling the arrangements.
Krystal was born Feb. 27, 1951 in Hammond, Ind. to Walter and Joanne (Martin) Scott. She married Ron Hall on May 27, 1978 in Braidwood.
She was a 1969 graduate of Morris High School and a 1973 graduate of Eastern Illinois University where she received a B.S. degree.
After graduation she was a Peace Corps volunteer in Brazil for a year. She was employed by the Illinois Department of Public Health from 1975 to 1978.
Professionally she worked as a Dietician in the Food Service Industry. For the past ten years she was employed by U. S. Foods, in the Streator Division where she received the Account Executive of the year award in 2015. She was a member of Holy Cross Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ron of Mendota; two daughters, Jolene (Joshua) Frey and Kathryn Hall; two sons, Zachary (Ashley Becker) Hall and Benjamin Hall; two grandchildren, Lillith Frey and Aurora Frey; two sisters, Kay Scheuer and Kim Salz, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents and grandparents.
Memorials may be directed to OSF St. Elizabeth Hospice or Bread for the World.
