Obituary

Lambert Koeling, 90, of Sublette died
Sept. 13, 2014, in Mendota Community
Hospital.
A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday
in Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church, Sublette
with the Rev. Randy Fronek officiating. Burial will
be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a
later date.
Funeral arrangements were provided by Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota.
He was born March 28, 1924, in Chicago to Jon
and Helen (Murkal) Cooling. He was a veteran of
World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in the
Pacific Theater of Operations. He was employed
as a truck driver by Nabisco Co. in Chicago until
his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady
Perpetual Help Church. He is survived by four
sons, James (Pat) Koeling of St. John, Ind., Thomas
Koeling of Bourbonnais, Daniel (Karen) Koeling of
Shorewood and Robert Koeling of Kankakee; one
daughter, Diane (Douglas) Hardy of Manteno; six
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in September
1997 and by one sister, Jantina. Memorials may be directed to the donors choice.
