Larry M. Christen, 86, of Mendota, passed away on July 11, 2024 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.

A memorial service will be held on August 17, 2024 at 3:00 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, Mendota with Rev. Laurie Walker officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.

Larry was born March 7, 1938 in Rockford to Myron and Ruth (Benson) Christen. He married Kay Miller on January 28, 1956.

Larry was a truck driver most of his working life for several different employees. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle after his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Kay; his three children, Deb (Gary) Daub, Tim (Fran) Christen and Shawn (Stacy Walters) Christen; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a brother Russell and a sister Nancy Luna.

He was preceded in death by his parents a brother and a sister.
