Larry Keith Young, age 62, of Plano, passed in peace, surrounded by many loved ones at Kishwaukee Northwestern Hospital, DeKalb.

He was born December 4, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to Melvin W. and Eugenia L. (Edge) Young.

Larry spent most of his life as a mechanic. He enjoyed working on vehicles with his sons, grandsons, and nephews. He had many hobbies and interest that he enjoyed with all of his children such as hunting, fishing, canoeing and gardening. He also was an avid reader, especially westerns. Larry was a graduate of Plano Sr. High School and a member of Future Farmers of America.

He was preceded in death by many loved ones who are awaiting him with open arms for a heavenly reunion. His parents Melvin and Eugenia (Edge) Young, paternal grandparents, William Young, Charles and Della (Brackett) Smith, maternal grandparents, Alvin and Addie Lorraine (Talley) Edge, as well as two siblings, Janet F. (Young) Kearby and William A. Young.

Larry is survived by four children, Randy L. Young, Ryan K. Young, Amanda M. (Young) Blakely, and Felicia A. (Perry) Reyes as well as nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also his three sisters, Peggy S. (Young) VanHauen, Mary. D (Young) Wallace, and Tracie L. (Young) Kinney.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, monetary memorials may be directed to the family through Merritt Funeral Home 800 Monroe Street Mendota, Il. 61342.
