Laurie Gross Adkins, 37, of Sublette died April 17, 2012, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Tracy Gross officiating. Cremation will follow services. Visitation is noon until time of services Sunday in the funeral home. She was born Oct. 29, 1974, in Mendota to James and Rhonda (Bettner) Gross. She married Kenneth Adkins on April 18, 2008. She attended Mendota High School. She was employed by local and area restaurants. Mrs. Adkins is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Sublette; three sons, Justin Biederstedt of Janesville, Wis., and Marcus and Andrew Biederstedt, both of Morris; her parents, James and Rhonda Gross of Mendota; one brother, Christopher Gross of Mendota; one sister, Shallen Gross of Mendota; and her maternal great-grandmother, Laura Mavis Bettner of Mendota. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of James and Rhonda Gross.
