Lee Wright, 71, of Mendota died Jan. 23, 2011, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be in Wyoming at a later date. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wright was born Aug. 24, 1939, in New Castle, Wyo., to Sherman and Mildred (Patton) Wright. He married Christine Ecklund on Nov. 30, 1989, in Mendota. He was a truck driver for Reed Transportation and Black Hills Trucking. He was a maintenance worker for Woodhaven Lakes. Survivors are his wife; his mother, Mildred Wright of Story, Wyo.; one daughter, Kim (Bill) Foster of Gillette, Wyo.; two sons, Keith (Karla) Wright of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Jack (Kathy) Wright of Gordon, Neb.; one stepson, Michael (Sue) Ecklund of Gardner, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gale Wright of Savannah, Mo., and Roger (Davene) Wright of New Castle, Wyo.; and one sister, Judy (Dave) Harshman of Las Cruces, N.M. He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Shirley; one grandson, Brandon; and the mother of his children, Ruth Wright. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or the family.
