Leona L. Lopez, 98, of Mendota died Jan. 29, 2009, in La Salle HealthCare Center. There will be no visitation. A memorial will be at a later date with interment of ashes at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. She was born Jan. 2, 1911, in Wall, S.D., to Jake and Veronica (Bauer) Long. Survivors include one grandson, Blaine Kloke of Mendota; one granddaughter, Milree (Ben) Ziesmer of Sugar Land, Texas; four greatgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Herschel Kloke in 1972; a brother and two sisters. Memorials may be directed to donor's choice.
