Lillian L. Durand, 98, of Mendota Lutheran Home, died Aug. 27, 2008, in the home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in TeDeum Chapel of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota, with the Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is one hour prior to the funeral in the church lounge. Arrangements were provided by Merritt Funeral Home. She was born July 9, 1910, in Arlington to Fred and Gertrude (Klein) Stein. She married Marcel Durand on June 22, 1929, Mendota. Mrs. Durand was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Martha Circle. She is survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 4, 1968; one son, two daughters, three brothers and six sisters. Memorials may be directed to St. John's Luthern Church.
