Lily M. Neighbor, 83, of Mendota died June 6, 2009, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Mendota. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visiation is one hour prior to services Tuesday in the funeral home. She was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Mendota to John and Bertha (Young) Edwards. She married Neil Neighbor on Feb. 17, 1946. Mrs. Neighbor was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mendota. She had been employed by Boelk Truck Lines in Mendota as a secretary. She is survived by two sisters, Lola (Norman) Dewey of Mendota and Lita (Donald) Kelly of Mendota; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 4, 2004; three brothers and one sister. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church.
