Lois M. Stamberger, 89, of Mendota died
April 29, 2013, in the Mendota Lutheran Home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in
St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota with the
Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Burial will be at
Restland Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota.
She was born Jan. 22, 1924, in Sublette to
Byron and Olive (Reisinger) Motter. She married
Melvin J. Borelli on May 22, 1943; he
died Nov. 22, 1963. She later married Richard
Stamberger on June 22, 1970; he died Dec. 12,
1996.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran
Church and the Navy Mother's Club. She was
employed by Conkey's during World War II and
later by Wayside Press in Mendota. Before her
retirement, she worked in the produce department
of Mendota Food Center.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia
(Ken) Becker of Mendota; six sons, James (Karn)
Borelli of Franklin, Wis., Donald (Kathryn)
Borelli of Mendota, Mark (Robin) Borelli of
Mishawaka, Ind., Rick (Connie) Borelli of
Mendota, Garry (Rita) Borelli of Mendota and
Larry (Kerri) Borelli of La Salle; 18 grandchildren
and 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded
in death by three sisters, Hazel, Mildred and
Betty, and one brother, Harold.
