Lois Marie Jones, 95, of Mendota died April 4, 2013, in
Mendota Lutheran Home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion United
Methodist Church, Mendota with the Rev. Deanna Mede officiating.
Burial will be in Starkweather Cemetery, Starkweather, N.D.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday in the
church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota provided arrangements.
She was born June 29, 1917, in Duluth, Minn., to Ruben
and Edna (Schaller) Johnson. She married H.W. "Bob" Jones on Feb. 26,
1937. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church,
Mendota. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, swimming and playing cards.
She is survived by two daughters, Myrna Knapp of
Mendota and Chris Drexler of Coon Rapids, Minn.; seven
grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one sister, Carol Getts of Duluth, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 1998; one son,
Dale; an infant daughter, Gayle; one brother, Ruben; and two
sisters, Myrna Johnson and Barbara Henderson. Memorials may be directed to the Zion United Methodist Church or Mendota Lutheran Home.
