Lois E. Wise, 90, of Mendota,
formerly of Princeton,
died Aug. 11, 2014, in Mendota
Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be
at 11 a.m., Friday in Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota,
with the Rev. Larry Sheaves
officiating.
Visitation will be 10-11
a.m. Friday in the funeral
home. Burial will take place
at Oakland Cemetery, Princeton.
She was born Aug. 11,
1924, in Sublette to Elmer
and Ellen (Johnson) Blackwood.
She married Harold
Wise on Feb. 25, 1951.
She was a member of
First United Methodist
Church, Mendota. She was
a legal secretary for the
Dubbs law office and later
for Troupis Law Office,
both in Mendota. She spent
her childhood in Walnut,
lived in Princeton and her
remaining years in Mendota.
She loved to travel
and made the most of what
life had to offer her.
She is survived by one
niece, Christine Carlson of
Sterling; and two nephews,
Rick Henley of Sterling and
Tim Henley of Dixon.
She was preceded in
death by her husband in
1991; and one sister, Lucille
Shearburn.
