Loretta was born December 5, 1916 in Dayton, OH. to Armond E. and Edith (Popovich) Kittinger. She married Delbert Berger May 24, 1946 in Norfolk, VA.

She was particularly proud of some very special impatience plants that were special colors and that she kept alive for many years. She enjoyed travel and was fond of the mountains. She enjoyed family. She seemed her happiest around the large family that her husband grew up in. She enjoyed her husband and raising her son. She kept an immaculate house for her husband and son to live in.
She is survived by one son Ray (Susan) Berger of West Bloomfield, MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983 and three brothers Armond "Bus" Kittinger, Melvin Kittinger, and Alvin Kittinger.
