Loretta "Babe" Flaherty, 95, of Manor Court, Peru died June 3, 2017, in the care facility.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 am. Wednesday in Holy Trinity Church, Cherry with the Rev. Patrick Fixsen officiating. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Cherry.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling the arrangements.

Loretta was born Oct. 28, 1921, in Spring Valley to Michael and Loretta (Clemer) Flaherty. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church. She graduated from Hall High School. Loretta was employed by National Sheet & Metal in Peru until her retirement. She loved playing golf and was an avid Cubs fan.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Gerald Flaherty, Sharon Ellis, Shirley Adrian, Carol Sondgeroth, Jim and Jack Flaherty, William Liss, Esther Bassetti, Sarah Mudge and Susan Flaherty; also great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Edmund, Francis, Stanley and James; one sister, Esther Liss; and one cousin, Bernadette Turcyzn.

Memorials may be directed to Holy Trinity Church or St. Margaret's Hospital.
