Obituary

E. Louise Ambler, 95 of Mendota passed away March 12, 2019 at Heritage Health, Mendota.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Mary Bohall officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Louise was born September 14, 1923 in Paw Paw to Robert and Ada (Towne) Simpson. She married August Just in 1941. He was a United States Marine and was killed in action on the Island of Tinian in 1944. Together they had one son August on October 20, 1942. Louise married Carlos A. Ambler September 14, 1945 in Chicago. Carlos was widowed and had a son Carlos H. Ambler. Together Carlos and Louise had a daughter Pat who passed away in 1964 at the age of 17.
Carlos and Louise farmed together their entire working years. Louise was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, gardener, bird lover and a wonderful cook. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She is survived by her son August V. (Margaret) Ambler of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister Cindy Donna of Cherry; three grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, her two husbands, two children Pat and Carlos, and thirteen brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be directed to the family for donation to the nursing staff at Heritage Health, Mendota.
