Lowell G. Bonnell, 68, of Troy Grove died peacefully July 29, 2015, in his home with his family by his side.
A private family graveside service will be at Troy Grove Cemetery. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota provided arrangements.
He was born July 31, 1946, to Leo and Wanda (Myers) Bonnell. He married Christine "Christy" Marie Kenny on March 11, 1977, in Ottawa.
Lowell was an owner/operator truck driver for 46 years before his retirement in 2009. He was a member of Mendota Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; four sons, Bradley (Rose) Bonnell of Mendota, Brent "Sam" (Anna) Bonnell of Mendota, Hank Bonnell of Troy Grove, and Dustin (Christy) Bonnell of Joliet; two daughters, Shelley (Jeff) Dallas and Sheila Mortenson, both of Dixon; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents and his eldest son, Brian Gene Bonnell.
Memorials may be directed to Mooseheart Child City and School.
