Lucille M. Buettner, 101, of Mendota, IL passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Stonecroft Village in Mendota.  Lucille was born Nov. 6, 1924 in Sublette, IL the daughter of George and Louise (Bauer) Althaus.  She married Clayton Buettner Aug. 25, 1948, in Perkins Grove Methodist Church.  Lucille and Clayton moved from the farm to Mendota in 2003.  She was a member of the Zion Methodist Church in Mendota.  Over the years she helped doing numerous things around the farm with her husband Clayton, where she would help raise livestock. One of her passions was capturing her loved ones lives through scrapbooking leaving several collections behind.

Lucille is survived by one son, Kenneth (Ruth) Buettner of LaMoille; three grandchildren, Jeff Buettner of Oglesby, IL, Doug (Allison) Buettner of Mendota and Tim (Danielle) Buettner of Sublette; three great grandchildren, Reiss, Ellyott and Abygail Buettner.  She was preceded in death by two brothers; Lester and Everette Althaus and one Great grand daughter: Charlee Ann Buettner.

Public visitation will be 9:00-11:00 AM, Wed.
