Lucille C. Waldorf, 101, of Mendota died Oct. 19, 2010, in her residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in TeDeum Chapel of St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is one hour prior to services Friday in the chapel. Arrangements were provided by Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born Jan. 27, 1909, in Mendota to John and Emelia (Halboth) Saueressig. She married Charles Waldorf on Jan. 15, 1942, in Peoria. Mrs. Waldorf was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota Golf Club, a 60-year member of West End Club and a former member of the woman's club. She was the developer of the Char-Lu subdivisions with the assistance of Bill Schmidt. She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 17, 1989.
