Mabel L. Boelk, 79, of Mendota died June 1, 2008, in Mendota Community Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. John?s Lutheran Church, Mendota, with the Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Mrs. Boelk was born June 5, 1928, in Pleasant Valley to Daniel and Louisa (Zink) Randecker. She married Ralph Boelk on Jan. 23, 1949, in Kent. She was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Ralph, of Mendota; three sons, Randall (Pamela) Boelk, David (Jennifer) Boelk and Jeffrey Boelk, all of Mendota; three daughters, Lori (Matt) Etzbach of Mendota, Nancy (Jeff) Hochstatter of Mendota and Pamela (Larry) Davis of Lacon; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Daniel (Rita) Randecker of Mendota; and two sisters, Twila Orth of Pearl City and Alice Croffoot of Lena. She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis; two grandchildren and one sister. Memorials may be directed to St. John?s Lutheran Church, Mendota.
