died Sept. 15, 2013, in
Seasons Hospice, Naperville.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday in Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota with the
Rev. William Ultch offiating.
Burial will be at Troy Grove
Cemetery, Troy Grove.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today
in the funeral home.
She was born Aug. 24,
1919, in Troy Grove to
Lester and Lucy (Miller)
McLaughlin. She married
Glenn Davis on Nov. 26,
1939.
She graduated from
Mendota High School in
1937.
She worked at Del Monte
in Mendota and Westclox in
Peru for more than 20 years
before retiring. She was
a member of Troy Grove
Grange, Order of the Eastern
Star, Clarion Flyers Club
and Experimental Aircraft
Association Chapter 271 after
receiving her single-engine
pilot's license.
She is survived by two
daughters, Elaine (Don)
Weber of Montgomery
and Sharon Killion of
Montgomery; seven grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren;
one brother, Lauren
(Evelyn) McLaughlin of Troy
Grove; and two sisters, Ruth
Stevenson of Mendota and
Mildred (Vernon) Morel of
Leland.
She was preceded in death
by her husband in 2007
and two brothers, Kenneth
McLaughlin and Hiram
McLaughlin.
