Margaret Kerchner, 93,
of Dixon, formerly of Mendota,
died Oct. 14, 2014, in
KSB Hospital, Dixon.
Funeral services will be
at 11:30a.m. Friday in St.
John's Lutheran Church,
Mendota with the Rev. Dale
Peterson officiating. Burial
will be at Restland Memorial Gardens,
Mendota.
Visitation is from 10 a.m.
until time of services Friday
at the church. Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota provided
the arrangements.
She was born Sept. 6,
1921, in Troy Grove to
Walter and Maude (Marks)
McConnell. She married
George Kerchner on Aug. 8,
1940, in Davenport, Iowa.
She was a member of St.
John's Lutheran Church,
Mendota.
She is survived by one
daughter, Sandy Thompson
of Dixon; four grandchildren,
Brad (Jackie), Mike
and Chris Thompson and
Grayson Kerchner; five
great-grandchildren and one
great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in
death by her husband on
Jan. 11, 2009; one son,
George Kerchner Jr.; five
sisters and one brother.
