Maria Eva Rodriguez, 82, of Mendota, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was born in Mexico on February 18, 1944, the daughter of Jose Aurelio Rivera and Dolores Rivera (Valenzuela.)

Maria is survived by her three children, Ricky Rodriguez, Jamie (Chuck Olson) Rodriguez, and Anna (Ray) Eutis; four grandchildren, Tony and Justice Rodriguez, and Ari and Isaiah Jimenez; one great-grandson on the way; a sister-in-law, who was more like a sister to her, Angelita Rodriguez; her best friend, Mague Lopez; and the father of her children, Jose Rodriguez.

In addition to her parents, Maria is preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1010 Jefferson Street, in Mendota. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M - 10:45 A.M. at Horner-Merritt Funeral Home, 800 Monroe Street, in Mendota. Interment will follow the Mass in Holy Cross Cemetery in Mendota. Luncheon will follow the burial the the First Presbyterian Church, 1003 5th Street, in Mendota.
