Marie A. Zinke, 89, of Mendota died
Nov. 10, 2012, in Mendota Community
Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in
Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the
Rev. Ken Foster officiating. Burial will be
at Restland Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation is 4- 7 p.m. Wednesday at
the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 9, 1923, in West
Brooklyn to Ernest and Anna (Miller)
Ponto. She married William Zinke on Feb.
9, 1940, in St. Paul's Evangelical Church
in Clarion Township.
She was a member of Compton United
Methodist Church and Women's Society
of Christian Services.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald
(Donna) Zinke of Mendota and Jeff
(Jackie) Zinke of West Brooklyn; two
daughters, Janet (Larry) Barker of Mendota
and Judith (Don) Pierce of Paw Paw;
11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren;
and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband
in 1997 and four brothers.
