Marion R. Troupis, 90, of Mendota died March 27, 2016, in Stonecroft Village, Mendota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Church, Mendota with the Rev. Joel Phelps officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Marion was born Sept. 15, 1925, in Ocean View, Va. to Marion and Catherine (Gavin) Roberts. She married Christ T. Troupis on Jan. 2, 1947, in South Bend, Ind.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church and St. Mary's Altar Society of the church. She was the valedictorian of her high school class in Kirkwood, Mo. She was a "picture lady" who visited local grade schools in Mendota. Marion was a legal secretary for 40 years in her husband's Mendota law office.
She was active with the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and other local children's groups. She was one of the founding members of Mendota Migrant Council and was an officer of the Mendota Junior Women's Club.
She is survived by two sons, Christ (Maureen) Troupis of Eagle, Idaho and Judge James (Karen) Troupis of Cross Plains, Wis.; three daughters, Jeanne (Andrius) Balakus of Spencer, Ohio, Diana (Stewart) Karge of Downers Grove and Ann Troupis of Malden; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 19, 2011; one brother and one sister.
